Programming languages and environments: Objective-C, both application-level programming in Cocoa and low-level runtime hacking. Xcode. Plain C. C++. Python. A decent knowledge of Java and Haskell. Basics of Ruby and Prolog. Basics of PowerPC, x86 and x86-64 instruction sets, OS X ABI, etc.

Scripting languages: AppleScript, including interaction with Cocoa and development of scripting additions. Bourne/Bash shell scripting.

Operating systems: OS X, UNIX. Linux, and UNIX in general as an advanced user (shells, standard utilities, compiler tool chain).

Web and databases: A decent knowledge of XML, XSLT, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, basic Apache configuration, WordPress, nanoc.

Domain-specific software: LaTeX (typesetting), R (statistical computing environment), MATLAB/octave as an advanced user. Basics of Inkscape (vector graphics) and various image editing tools (GUI and CLI).
Languages
English (proficient, CAE grade A = CEFR level C2), Czech (native), French (working proficiency, except I am really bad at orthography), Japanese (advanced, JLPT N2 as of December 2014, constantly learning).
I hope to resume my attempts at Classical Chinese and I am slowly forgetting German. I love learning languages as well as studying them (i.e. linguistics).
Aikidō: a martial art

A year of practice under the guidance of Morisaki Masafumi sensei (5th dan) with regular attendance at seminars of Endō Seishirō shihan (8th dan), Kuribayashi Takanori shihan (7th dan), and others.

Organizing and teaching aikido children’s classes and seminars (except the year 2015/16, when I was in Japan).

2008–present practicing at Aikido Praha Vinohrady
I have been practicing aikido under the guidance of Martin Švihla since 2008, attending seminars of Franck Noël, Endō Seishirō, Jan Nevelius, Stefan Stenudd, Ariga Kaname, and others. Together with other senior members I share various responsibilites at the dojo.
Shodō: Japanese calligraphy

2013–present Japanese calligraphy
Performing Japanese calligraphy at various events events for both Japanese and Czech companies and non-profits: writing calligraphies for guests on demand, teaching workshops for children and adults. I have studied calligraphy since 2012.
Exhibited my works at calligraphy exhibitions in Prague (2014, 2015), organized by my teacher René Ochiai (then René Skupý). I also contributed to their organization.
Organized weekly calligraphy sessions Feb–Jun 2015 at Shodō.cz (friends of Japanese calligraphy — skupina přátel japonské kaligrafie).
General Interests

Humans, Language & Computers: Linguistics and natural language processing. Evolutionary algorithms and other metaheuristics. Cognitive science. Functional programming. User interaction.

Japanese language (see Education above) and Japanese culture (see Aikidō and Shodō above).

Myself: Learning about myself and becoming one with myself through aikido (quite consistently since 2008), zazen (only recently), vipassana (on and off since 2013), yoga (2011–2013), and other meditative practices. I do not subscribe to any particular dogma or teaching.
